Privacy statement and usage of cookies

At younique Ltd we believe that the privacy of our visitors is extremely important. This page describes the types of personal information collected and recorded by our site, and how it is used.

Log Files

Like many other websites, ours uses log files too. The information contained in the log files includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), information such as date and time, referral pages, exit and entry pages, and the number of clicks.

This information is used to analyse trends, manage the site, monitor user selections on the site and gather demographic data. IP addresses and other data are not linked to identifiable personal information; therefore all data is collected in an absolutely anonymous form. This information will not be used by younique Ltd or by third parties for commercial or marketing purposes.

Managing cookies

A cookie (or similar technology) is a text file containing small amounts of information which can be stored on your computer or mobile device ("terminal equipment"). For example, similar technologies can be used by websites to:

  • Identify visitors

  • Allow the website to function efficiently

  •  Customise content

  • Enable online targeted behavioural advertising.

Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage and device fingerprinting.

The law governing cookies is currently enshrined in the Swiss ePrivacy Directive. The law requires website owners to take certain steps before sending non-essential cookies to users. Websites that send non-essential cookies must, through the use of a cookie banner, perform at least the following operations:

  • Provide clear and comprehensive information about the website's use of cookies

  • Clearly report information so as to allow visitors to easily access it

  • Obtain consent from the site visitors for the use of non-essential cookies.

The Privacy Guarantor (GDPR) has changed the concept of consent required by visitors. Prior to the GDPR, websites relied on implicit consent and, as a result,  continued use of the website was considered sufficient consent to place non-essential cookies. Presently, unambiguous consent is required, which means that the visitor must communicate a "clear consent" to the use of non-essential cookies. Therefore, their consent must be obtained before placing non-essential cookies on the visitors' devices. The website must also allow visitors to manage their cookie preferences.

By accepting the use of cookies on our site, you agree to provide us with data which will be processed for the purpose of analysing traffic and visits to our site. This information will not be disclosed by younique Ltd to third parties for any commercial or any other purposes.

Managing contact details

The contact details provided through the online form are not automatically processed or recorded in any database. The nature of the contact is spontaneous and confidential and is therefore not shared with third parties for any purpose.

The data controller for all legal purposes is:
